About

Nick spent the first part of his career at creative agencies, including co-founding and running a brand and design agency for 11 years. Moving client-side, he was Global Head of Marcoms at Knight Frank before moving to SEGRO plc, the FTSE100 Property Company, where he was Director of Marketing and Communications for 10 years.

He launched Nick Hughes Consulting at the beginning of 2024 and, in that capacity, helped real estate group Newmark integrate its brand in to its UK offering. He currently acts as Consultant CMO to Utility Aid, one of the fastest growing energy procurement businesses in the UK.

He has an MBA from Bayes Business School, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Patron of Real Estate Balance.

In 2024, he joined the University of the Built Environment (UBE) Trustees Board, serves on their Nominations and Governance Committee, is Chair of the Built Environment Award Panel as well as being a Director of UBE Asia Ltd.

He is also a professional mentor for those whose careers are in marketing and communications, having trained as a business coach in 2008.
